Learning From My Copy Mistakes

We need to improve

Today marks the first I fully commit to writing copy

There is no breakdown, really there is nothing to breakdown as I would not personally know what to look out for, not that there is no room for improvement

My thoughts are that what I wrote is not bad for someone who is new to the craft, but the are definitely large areas in need of improving

The Good:

  • I did manage to write all 3 of my requirements (Pain to Relief; Desire to Attainment; Transformation)

  • Writing that many words in that 1 session (3hours), was not as hard as I thought is would be

  • I can now gauge how and when I get fatigued

  • I now know that I need to first write something completely unrelated just to get my creative juices flowing

The Bad:

  • I ramble a lot, and have plenty of run on sentence

  • I repeat myself a lot which dilutes the message and from the perspective of the reader, I did find it annoying… lol

  • I introduce the product or offer way to late in the email. Should have been teased at the beginning to keep the engagement going

  • I focus too much on word count and not messaging. My inability to articulate what I need to say in less is going to hinder me if I do improve

I would say that today was not a bad day, as I could see where I stand in regards to ‘‘good’’ copy and now know where I need to improve in my Long Direct Sales Letters

8/10 in understanding what needs fixing

10/10 in vibes

Tomorrow we improve, doing Video Sales Letters whilst using the skeletons of the LDSL’s
